IEEE has over 420,000 members in over 160 countries around the world. For organizational purpose IEEE has divide whole world in 10 regions. Each region comprises of different sections and each section oversees different technical society chapters, student branches, affinity and special interest groups.

Following the aim of IEEE i.e to innovate for a better tomorrow, the student chapter at IBA aims to encourage students to participate in conferences and contribute to the research community across the globe. At the same time the IEEE IBA chapter is dedicated to motivate students to engage in the professional and educational activities by organizing information sessions, seminars and workshops throughout the year.
